We had a blast at this years Family Camp in Carlinville (“Family Fun Fest”).  This was the third year in a row our family attended and our kids were at a perfect age this year.  They enjoyed playing in the lake, going down the water slides, jumping on the trampolines, swimming in the pools, playing mini golf, riding around in the golf cart and just hanging out with family.

Each morning and evening we also attended the Church service.  The kids had their own kids class to go to – which they really enjoyed this year.  When I asked Drew what his favorite part about Family Camp was he said, “Church”.  That’s a good feeling.  We especially enjoyed the night services as the speaker was Pat Schatzline of Mercy Seat Ministries.  He did a great job and always had a dynamic and captivating message.

On Wednesday night they had a HUGE fireworks display for the 4th of July.  Then Thursday was “family fun day”.  We started the morning off with a Fun Run (1 mile) and  then enjoyed the day full of kids activities.  A special thanks to Sarah’s parents and brother (Chad and April) for being so giving and letting us eat with them all week.  We also enjoyed eating the ‘Nightly Dessert – usually ice cream’ as a family!  Fun Times!
