Crazy win for Streator Woodland

As most of you know, my brother Rodney is the head varsity basketball coach at Streator Woodland. Read this article about their game last night. Sounds like quite an exciting finish! Here is a little tidbit from Rodney.

“We didn’t draw that last shot up to be banked in, obviously, but we’ll take it,” said Woodland coach Rodney Knuppel. “We felt good about Brian being at the free-throw line in that situation … But after he missed them, we felt he might be down on himself and also that he’d be covered pretty well. Jake was our next option and, though he’d been struggling a little lately, he hit some big shots tonight. That’s what we need. We need him to be good for us.

“I’ve questioned our resiliency at times this season. When things go south for us, like they did at times tonight, we’ve gone south with them. … But tonight we needed to bounce back and did, more than once. Hopefully this is the turning point and I won’t have to question it again.”

Congrats on the nice win Woodland!
