I find it amazing how quickly young kids forget and forgive. When I get home from work each night, all my kids want to do is PLAY PLAY PLAY. I don’t blame them. They don’t see daddy at all, all day, now they are ready to have some fun. Well, the other day after work – I just wasn’t feeling it. Had a long day at work and I really just wanted to relax. My patience was low and everything was bothering me. Ever have those days?
Anyways, I went on to really upset Drew. He was mad at me and I don’t blame him. He went to bed that night knowing that daddy wasn’t in a ‘good mood’ and just seemed upset with me. Now, grown ups typically carry that kind of thing over and hold grudges. But not kids and not Drew. The next day it was like nothing happened the day before. He was excited and happy to see daddy again. Not mad at all. How do they do that? They just forgive and forget… It’s pretty cool actually!
