The weekend is over again and it’s Monday all over again. We had a very nice weekend. Friday night, Sarah and I had a nice date night. Thanks to the Knuppel grandparents for watching the kiddos. We went out to Friday’s (quickly becoming our favorite eating spot) to eat and then to Grand Prairie to shop… Yipeeee… I did get to go to Best Buy so that was good.
Saturday was my big day to hang with the kids. Sarah had an open house event that she was invited to for Tastefully Simple from 8 am til 4 pm. So me with the 3 kids – all day! Yikes! Luckily for me, Bryce did not sleep well all night. This sucked for Sarah who dealt with Bryce during the night – but for me it meant Bryce slept in until 11:30 AM! I actually needed it because I ended up getting paged for work like 3 times in the morning. Poor kids didn’t get to play with daddy, yet. Finally around noon I got to play with them. Playing in their book means dancing around the basement, chasing each other, wrestling, and me laying down with my hands out while they jump over me. Fun times
Sarah got home a little earlier than expected since she had ZERO customers. That’s right – ZERO!!! Let’s say she won’t be doing that again. At night I had a big College Football / Poker Extravaganza to go to at Jarrod Stocks house. NICE! Played cards and watched Florida roll Alabama and Oklahoma roll Mizzou. Fun night and only ended up winning $6 on the night. Ha!
On Sunday we did the Church thing and went to KFC for lunch. Then I took the kids out to Talbot’s to get our tree. Finally got our Xmas tree but it was freezing. We stopped by Grandma Meekers for a few hours to watch some football, play some cards and catch up with family. At night we had to do the family decorating of the tree. At least I got out of doing outdoor lights this year without much fight. Lucky me.
So that was our weekend. Now it’s Monday and I’m already ready for next weekend. I have Thursday and Friday vacation days at work this week so woohooo – 4 day weekend!
