Yesterday when I got home from work – Drew was excited to tell me about these ‘Resurrection Eggs’ he had from school.  It was funny because he kept saying ‘Daddy – come see my SOMETHING eggs’ but I couldn’t make out what that something was.  Sarah finally told me what he was saying.  So Alyssa, Drew and I went back to check these eggs out.

At school that day they had done this little project where they have 12 plastic easter eggs in a carton – and they filled each one with something significant from the Easter story.  Drew went one by one and pulled out the item in each egg.  He explained to me in pretty good detail why each item was important.  For instance, one was a little crown of thorns.  Drew told me how the bad guys made Jesus wear that and it made him bleed.  One of the eggs was empty and Drew knew that this represented Jesus’ tomb being empty.

As you can tell, I was quite impressed by my little guy.  He IS learning at school
