Cardinals vs. Indians

Pip and I took a visit to the new Busch on Monday to watch the Cardinals host the Indians. We took off early in the afternoon so we could get to St. Louis early. We made a quick stop off at the Casino Queen and played a little blackjack since that was where we were parking. No big wins or losses there.

We finally got on the train and rode across the river. Showed up at Busch as the gates were opening. We went in and found our ‘batting practice’ seats down in the first row of right field. We were very close to snagging several balls hit by Indians bombers. Hafner, Hollandsworth and Brussard were bombing out to RF. One ball bounced right below us and a couple flew over our head. Actually the guy standing next to us got one so we were within feet. Oh well.

The game wasn’t nearly as exciting as the Cardinals got destroyed from the beginning. We ended up leaving after 6 innings because it was a blowout. Not a good performance by the Redbirds.
