Wasn’t long ago that these two teams met at Busch. They ended up splitting a 4 game series. Now the series goes to Wrigley where the Cub fans are sure to be out in large numbers. With the Cubbies being banged up as much as they are (wood, prior, sosa, etc.) I expect the Cardinals to with 2 out of 3.

Game 1: Carpenter vs. Mitre – Carpenter has been sharp as of late. Mitre is still questionable. Look for the Cardinals offense to feed off of yesterdays 9th inning outburst and score some runs. Cards 8 – Cubs 4

Game 2: Woody Williams vs. Rusch – Boy do I like seeing Rusch in there instead of Kerry Wood! Woody hasn’t been great this year but solid enough of late. Cards 5 – Cubs 3

Game 3: Morris vs. Clement – Morris usually dominates the Cubs. But Clement has been hot. The Cubs bats will pick up a bit and the Cards won’t score for MattyMo. Cubs 6 – Cards 2
