Well, just when I get all excited about how good my Cardinals are doing, they forget how to play baseball. I guess I won’t be going to Game 5 of the 2004 World Series after all, my tickets are sent back for the refund. But I’d rather not go than watch that disgusting display of baseball.

Lot’s of credit to the Boston Red Sox for rattling off 8 wins in a row to absolutely dominate the playoffs. They hit, pitched, and just showed some desire. I can’t say that for the Cardinals. Their superstars seemed to crawl into a cave and hide. They could NOT hit, could NOT pitch, and didn’t run the bases well. As you can tell, I’m pretty disappointed.

But I guess I will probably look back in a week or so and realize how good of a season the Redbirds had. They made it to the Series when they were picked by most to get 3rd in the DIVISION. Now next year, it will be a different story. They WILL be the favorite, and anything less than a World Series win will be a disappointment. So again, GREAT season to the Cardinals and congrats to the Red Sox for proving they are the best team in baseball in 2004.
