August 2015 Personal Goals for Knup

Well, better late than never right? I’m only a few weeks late getting my July recap and August goals outlined.

July started out great but then… I GOT LAZY! My running started suffering and I started eating and drinking worse. I’ll blame the weekend baseball trips we made with my oldest son. Those hurt! They hurt bad 🙂

July “Goal” Recap

    • FAIL: Didn’t do this the last 2 weeks of July.

TRAVEL

  • Enjoy baseball tournament trips with Drew and family!
    • PASS: Finally one I passed for the month. Enjoyed these a little “too” much which added to my missing of the health goals.
  • Relax in the Ozarks but not slack on working out.
    • PASS: Had a great Ozarks trip and worked out nicely during that trip.

LIFE

  • Get back on track with Budget numbers
    • FAIL: Pushing this back to August
  • Blog once per week here at knup.net
    • FAIL: None

So can we just say July was a “FAIL” month? The last 10 days were for sure. But what can I learn from that? Goals are just goals. The good thing about it is that the next month I can reset and do better. There are a few goals that I just don’t think are practical for my lifestyle these days. So I’ll modify the goals to make them more attainable. At the end of the day I need to see a lot more green.

July 2015 Personal Goals for Knup

Hey hey hey! It’s July first and this is the 3rd month in a row of my goals! I’ve found that having this post and laying out my goals each month really helps me throughout the month.

June was an awesome month. It may look like a lot of “failed goals” but it wasn’t that bad. I really underestimated a few things.

  1. Injury can happen — I had a severely painful neck injury early in the month. I could barely move it hurt so bad. Had to take 2-3 full days off from training all together.
  2. Race week means rest — I didn’t account for the rest I’d want to have leading up to the Steamboat race. It made me work even harder later on to catch up and get my 80 miles!
  3. Weekend Trips with friends hurt — May as well just count those weekends out for exercise. I have good intentions on keeping up but that just doesn’t happen.

Steamboat Race

SC-Full-Logo-Black-e1425831481405The Steamboat race went awesome. Sarah ran with me and it was her first race — ever. She loved it and finished without walking. We both did the 4 mile race. Sarah finished with a 42:42 (10:41 mile) and I finished with a 31:03 (7:46 mile).

My unwritten goal was 30:00 minutes so I failed by a minute. Mile 3 absolutely crushed me pace wise.

But after the race Sarah and I had a blast. We hung with friends, enjoyed the music, had a few drinks and food! Great morning to run.

All in all, June was a great month. Let’s take a look at the specifics and recap the monthly goal results.

June “Goal” Recap

HEALTH / FITNESS

  • Run 80+ miles in June
    • PASS: 80.02 to be exact. It took a big last two days but made it happen.
  • Bike 80+ miles in June
    • FAIL: Didn’t bike ride a single mile in June. Hmmm, gotta break out of this and just start.
  • Do 20 burpees every day I run
    • PASS: Definitely did this and I can tell burpees are becoming easier to do.
  • Do 20 pushups every day
    • PASS’ISH: Every day may be a bit of a stretch as I missed the STL trip and a couple days when by neck hurt terribly. But it wasn’t due to laziness so I can count it.
  • Do 20 situps every day
    • PASS’ISH: Every day may be a bit of a stretch as I missed the STL trip and a couple days when by neck hurt terribly. But it wasn’t due to laziness so I can count it.
  • Do 20 dips every day

    • FAIL: What is soda? I should have been more specific. Did great with caffeine (minus STL weekend) but had Root Beer and Sierra Mist on occasion.

October 2014 Personal Goals for Knup

One thing I feel is very important in all facets of life, personal life, business life, etc. is setting goals. I set goals every day and now I’d like to get in the habit of posting these goals on my site.

It’s one thing to have goals, it’s another to follow through on them. My goal posts will include a bit about how I did and what I want to do in terms of goals going forward.

These will only be personal goals. For my internet marketing goals you’ll have to visit RyanKnuppel.com at some point!

GOALSSeptember 2014 Goal Completion

Since this is the first goal post on this site, I have no “results” per say. But some goals I had over the past few months involved running and eating healthy. I ran over 300 miles during the summer  months. Whatever my goals were, I sailed past them. I also did the burpee challenge where I did 30 burpees for 30 straight days!  I had a goal to eliminate soda from my diet over the summer and I successfully did that.  Let’s just say my “weight” loved all of these goals!

Now, I’ve been struggling on these goals in September. So October it’s time to get back to it.

April 2011 Goals – Affiliate Marketing

Finally getting around to posting my March recap and April goals post.  Only a few days late – at least I’m doing it.  March was a good but very busy month.  With March Madness and baseball starting – it always takes up a lot of my time and energy.  Let’s get to the recap.

March 2011 Recap – Affiliate Marketing

  • Post tons of March Madness content on my betting site:  I did this.  I recruited some help as well and got some nice traffic around March Madness.  Learned some things for next year as well.
  • Have at least one day of 1000+ visitors to my betting site: SUCCESS!  Actually hit 2000+ on a day or two.
  • Sell a minimum of 10 Cubs Suck shirts via email, site, Facebook, Twitter:  FAIL.  Sold 6 to be exact.
  • Get homepage article up on every one of my “dormant” domains:  SEMI-FAIL.  Did a few but didn’t focus on some others.
  • Move from Phase 1 to Phase 2 on my medical site: SUCCESS!
  • Start tracking all finances in Quickbooks:  FAIL.  Getting close though.
  • Take on this new “Link Building” job and deliver 5+ links: FAIL.  This job isn’t for me.
  • Deliver 150+ articles to my G5 clients: SUCCESS!  Delivered well over this number and took on another 2 clients as well!
  • Start the process for my CardinalsGM secret project: FAIL.
  • Successfully setup and run a March Madness contest on my betting blog and convert 10+ new users to a sportsbook: PARTIAL SUCCESS!  I ran a nice contest.  Had 30+ players.  But didn’t get that many new users to the sportsbooks.
  • Do not miss a single day sending out Betting Blogger free picks email: FAIL.  I missed a few.

March 2011 Goals – Affiliate Marketing

  • Post some baseball strategy and baseball picks articles on my sports betting site.
  • Sell a minimum of 10 Cubs Suck shirts via email, site, Facebook, Twitter.
  • Get 1 or 2 contributors for my medical site.
  • Successfully finish setting up my business (LLC).
  • Start tracking all finances in Quickbooks.
  • Deliver 150+ articles to my G5 clients.
  • Get business cards printed up and increase the visibility of my Cardinals sites.
  • Plan my Cardinals contest and get it off the ground.
  • Do not miss a single day sending out Betting Blogger free picks email.
  • Prune my domains and sites down to a “manageable” number.

So there we go.  April should be a great month.  It’s going to mark the first month I’m actually doing internet marketing stuff under an actual BUSINESS umbrella.  I’m very excited to get this going and will make a post once my company is formed and rolling.
