If you are an affiliate you may want to consider jumping into the poker affiliate area. Or you may not 🙂 Depending on how you look at it – it could be a great time to be a “new” poker affiliate. I have been considered a new poker affiliate for about a year now. It was and is NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE to convert new users. Why? Well, because everyone has their place they play and they already have accounts. It’s hard finding new blood.
Well, this changed with the news that the US Government is shutting down Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars to US players. Now, all of a sudden, there is the potential for millions of established poker players searching and looking for a new poker room to play at. I’m here for them and you can be too.
Consider signing up to be a Cake Poker Affiliate. Cake Poker is the room a lot of players are migrating to. They seem to be ready to take on the challenge. I started pushing them a little and over the first 2-3 days I had 20+ signups! Get in the game before it’s too late. If you are looking to just be a player at Cake Poker, be sure to signup through me 🙂

A group of my buddies and I play poker on a very regular basis. At least once a month. We play hold’em and random cards for pretty small stakes money. Basically it’s a good excuse to get together, watch sports, and have some fun. Last night we started a new “tradition” for our poker night surrounding Christmas. Not only did we play poker but we did a gift exchange and had a best dressed contest. See the picture below and let me know who you think should have won?
A couple things to keep in mind from this picture. Yes, Wade was a woman with the full makeup, lipstick, nail polish, bra and more! Pip had a sweet leather red blazer. Rodney is indeed wearing Christmas lights. Jason’s tie sung a song!
The weekend is over again and it’s Monday all over again. We had a very nice weekend. Friday night, Sarah and I had a nice date night. Thanks to the Knuppel grandparents for watching the kiddos. We went out to Friday’s (quickly becoming our favorite eating spot) to eat and then to Grand Prairie to shop… Yipeeee… I did get to go to Best Buy so that was good.
Saturday was my big day to hang with the kids. Sarah had an open house event that she was invited to for Tastefully Simple from 8 am til 4 pm. So me with the 3 kids – all day! Yikes! Luckily for me, Bryce did not sleep well all night. This sucked for Sarah who dealt with Bryce during the night – but for me it meant Bryce slept in until 11:30 AM! I actually needed it because I ended up getting paged for work like 3 times in the morning. Poor kids didn’t get to play with daddy, yet. Finally around noon I got to play with them. Playing in their book means dancing around the basement, chasing each other, wrestling, and me laying down with my hands out while they jump over me. Fun times 🙂
Sarah got home a little earlier than expected since she had ZERO customers. That’s right – ZERO!!! Let’s say she won’t be doing that again. At night I had a big College Football / Poker Extravaganza to go to at Jarrod Stocks house. NICE! Played cards and watched Florida roll Alabama and Oklahoma roll Mizzou. Fun night and only ended up winning $6 on the night. Ha!
On Sunday we did the Church thing and went to KFC for lunch. Then I took the kids out to Talbot’s to get our tree. Finally got our Xmas tree but it was freezing. We stopped by Grandma Meekers for a few hours to watch some football, play some cards and catch up with family. At night we had to do the family decorating of the tree. At least I got out of doing outdoor lights this year without much fight. Lucky me.
So that was our weekend. Now it’s Monday and I’m already ready for next weekend. I have Thursday and Friday vacation days at work this week so woohooo – 4 day weekend!
